Hi, I'm Carine Registered Dietitian & Paediatric Nutrition Specialist

An educator and clinician with over 30 years of experience as a children’s Dietitian, and mother to three grown-up young people, food is such a central and enjoyable part of my life. I want to share my passion for real food, good nutrition with up-to-date nutritional science, helping parents to grow healthy eaters, and learn to talk to your children about food with reassurance and confidence!

gut health is at the center of nutritional health

For me, gut health has always been at the heart of nutritional wellbeing. A diverse diet, rich in plants and wholegrains, forms the foundation of this. Our food choices constantly shape our gut microbiota, and in turn, our gut health shapes our overall wellbeing. What, when, and how we eat truly matters, with the power to nurture easeful digestion, strengthen immunity, support mental health, and bring joy through real, delicious, wholesome food.

holistic approaches to food and wellbeing

As a practicing yoga teacher, I weave in mindful tools using breath, senses and the body to help increase awareness of the body-mind connection. These mindful tools, when applied to eating, can help slow down, rest and digest, and enjoy our food more! Powerful self-care tools for todays’ child and young person, I integrated these simple tools to treat diet-related conditions such as IBS, constipation, food-related anxiety and abdominal pain. Always taking account of up-to-date science, as well as the multiple ways food interacts with our lives.
